About
April Lewis, M.Ed., BCBA, LBA, is the founder of Behavior Foundations. April earned an undergraduate degree from West Texas A&M University and a master's degree from Texas A&M University. Born and raised in Abilene, Texas, as the child of a Dyess Air Force Base retiree, April moved away for school and career and later returned home to serve the community.
Before entering behavior analysis in 2015, April spent 14 years teaching elementary and early childhood special education. That background in education shaped April's approach to Applied Behavior Analysis, with an emphasis on individualized, compassionate support for families.
April's goal for every client is to help children become independent and confident while honoring their strengths, abilities, and individual gifts. April is passionate about partnering with parents, encouraging progress over perfection, and helping families build skills that last.
