How much do RBTs make?
RBT pay at Alpaca Health practices runs from $20 to $27 per hour. The exact rate varies by clinic and by your experience.
Do I need to be certified before I apply?
No, we hire certified RBTs and people who are eligible but not yet certified. Tell us where you are in the process when you apply.
Do you have part-time RBT jobs?
Yes. Many RBTs work part-time, whether that's around school, another job, family, or simply wanting fewer hours. Tell us your availability when you apply and we'll factor it into your match.
What's the day-to-day like for an RBT?
You deliver one-on-one ABA therapy, following a treatment plan written by a BCBA, and record data on how the child responds. Most of the day is spent on the floor with a child, plus driving between clients and writing session notes.
How long does it take to get RBT certified?
Most people finish in one to three months. You need a 40-hour training course, a competency assessment signed by a BCBA, a background check, and a passing exam score.
What happens after I apply?
After you apply, we match you with a BCBA-owned practice who fits you best. Someone from our team reaches out to learn more about you and set up an interview. You then meet with the practice who would actually supervise you, and they make the hiring decision.
