Dr. Tranika Jefferson, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA, is a Licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral and the Founder and CEO of The Behavioral Wellness Academy, PLLC, serving schools and Home and Community-based Services (HCS) organizations across the Houston, TX metropolitan area. She holds a Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, an M.S. in Juvenile Forensic Psychology, and a B.S. in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Juvenile Justice, both from Prairie View A&M University.
Since 2009, Tranika has provided ABA therapy to children and adults with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and co-occurring psychiatric needs across a range of settings, including HCS organizations and Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities (ICF/IDD). Her care is assent-based and culturally responsive, with a focus on autonomy, dignity, and functional skills that carry over into everyday life. Since 2017 she has also supervised clinicians pursuing certification, and mentoring the next generation of behavior analysts remains one of her greatest passions.
