Dathan Johnson is the Founding Partnerships Lead for Texas at Alpaca Health. Based in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro, he spent years in ABA and home-healthcare business development before joining Alpaca to help independent BCBAs launch and grow their practices across Texas.
His prior roles include Elemy (an in-home pediatric ABA startup), Centria Healthcare (a multi-state ABA provider with significant Texas operations), Wellvana (value-based-care healthcare), and Maxim Healthcare Services. Elemy's wind-down of direct-care operations in late 2022 shaped his view on what centralized ABA can and can't do at scale — and why the independent-practice model Alpaca supports is a better fit for most clinicians.
