My name is Jackie Heslep and I am so excited to serve the Colorado Springs area. I am a Colorado native and mother to two autistic children. I am also proud to be an autistic BCBA! I have a unique understanding of what it is to parent neurodiverse children and to experience a neurodiverse life. I am a trauma assumed practitioner who guides my practice on ACT based concepts and principles in cooperation with ABA concepts and principles. I believe in a child centered approach in which treatment is socially valid for the child. The goal of Play ABA is not to fit neurodiverse children into society but to celebrate their unique abilities and skills and help them live meaningful lives and be their authentic selves.
